Are We Truly Healing, or Are We Just Painting Leaves Green?

What does healing really mean? In mainstream Western medicine, we “heal” physical symptoms. Yet physical symptoms are usually the manifestation of deeper energetic imbalances, often rooted in our beliefs and lived experiences. Research in epigenetics has shown that cellular activity is influenced by our environment, not determined solely by our genes.

The current mainstream approach is like noticing the leaves of a plant turning yellow – due to overwatering or lack of sunlight—and instead of addressing the root cause, we paint the leaves green. That’s essentially what much of our current medical system does: manage, suppress, or mask symptoms without addressing their origin.

When the root cause remains unaddressed, symptoms inevitably return. When those symptoms are managed with prescription drugs that have side effects, we may find ourselves exchanging one issue for another.

This raises an important question: are we truly healing, or merely learning how to live with illness?

If this makes sense, then why aren’t we waking up yet?
