Deep Relaxation

The calming sounds activate the parasympathetic nervous system, leading to a state of deep relaxation, which promotes slower brainwave activity. Our body cannot restore its harmony if we cannot relax.

With deep relaxation, our stress hormones such as cortisol levels are lowered. When we are less anxious, our minds don't control us. This is because the harmonic vibrations can shift the body’s nervous system away from the usual fight-or-flight mechanism, and allow for deep mental and physical restoration of balance. When we are less stressed, we can focus better and enjoy what we do and the presence of our loved ones. We enjoy life more!

After a couple of sound bath sessions, people report a deeper connection with themselves. Their day-to-day interactions with loved ones and colleagues are more present. Sound baths can help alleviate chronic pain and muscle tension by promoting healthy blood circulation, relaxing the body, and contributing to a sense of overall well-being. Sound therapy is also recognized as a successful treatment for tinnitus. 

People with chronic illnesses and pain can benefit greatly from regular sound baths. For some people, it is difficult to relax due to the chronic nature of the situation. They operate in constant fight-flight mode. Regular sound sessions create new neural pathways to allow healing to take place.

With Emily’s experience in mindfulness meditation, spiritual intuition, and musical background, sound bath meditation is what calls her to do in this chapter of her life. Over the years, she has realized the difficulty most people have in quieting their minds and relaxing their bodies in the traditional way of sitting meditation. With sound meditation, it is a sense of letting go into the experience, into simply listening to the sounds.

 It is a quality of relaxation and resting. We don’t need to block our thoughts. We don’t need to try anything. The sound vibrations will resonate our brain waves to a deeper state of relaxation. When our body can relax, our mind can rest. When our mind is not in a constantly restless state, our body can heal. We can find the inner balance and calmness.
